Configuration and connection to FTP Server Basic on Windows Server 2016

To work successfully, you need to open TCP ports 21,990,50000-51000

1. To connect to the virtual machine, start the “Remote Desktop Connection” program, the keyboard shortcut “Win + R”

2. In the field enter “mstsc.exe” and click “OK”

3. In the window that opens, enter the IP address of the machine and click “OK”

4. Enter your “Username” and “Password” and click “OK”

5. Select the checkbox “Don’t ask me again for connections to this computer” and click “YES”

6. After launching the VM, open FileZilla Server which is on the desktop

7. After launching, click “Connect

The “Logged on” message indicates that the connection is successful.

8. Now you need to create a new user. You should click “Edit” and then select “Users” in the drop-down window

9. Select “General” and then click “Add

10. You need to come up with “User name” and click “OK”

11. Now select the “Password” checkbox and enter the password you have created

12. Then select “Shared folders” and click “Add

13. Select C: \ ftproot and click “OK

14. Click on the created folder and select the checkboxes in the “Files” and “Directories” sections

15. Now in the main window of the application you can click “OK

16. On your PC, run the “FileZilla Client

17. In the “Host” field, enter the IP of your VM;

In the “User name” field, enter the “User name” you have invented (see item 9);

In the “Password” field, enter the “Password” you have invented (see section 10);

And click “Quickconnect”.

18. Select the “Always trust this certificate in future sessions” checkbox and click “OK

19. Connection successfully established
